In 2016 The Safekeeping Society was founded by myself and illustrator & modern calligrapher Alice Gabb. Collaborating on a private commission to create a keepsake journal for wedding guests (yes, very fancy indeed) we decided to design our own record keeping wonder. Thus the Honeymoon Journal came into being; a book full of places to write, frames for photographs, pockets and envelopes. Each journal also has glassine spreads to press flowers between. A glorious souvenir by all accounts.
Alongside the journal I developed a range of keepsake boxes all customisable and featuring foiled details of Alice’s beautiful illustrations. These include a wedding post box, travel / souvenir boxes and a rather fancy wedding keepsake box with compartments in the top tier for wedding stationery and little treasures, and a drawer below for larger items. As well as the keepsake boxes, trousseau boxes for wedding dresses, veils, bouquets and other accessories can be made bespoke.
Recently I have extended the Safekeeping Society vintage-inspired colour palette and also now offer a Travel Journal and a Guestbook following the same format as the Honeymoon Journal.
