Stacking tray boxes are simple yet so versatile. Once I make a template and you have a base tray and a lid you can add as many layers as you like in between. Therefore they work perfectly for growing collections, such as jewellery, as this particular one was intended. Following an A6 format each tray was around 3cm deep allowing space for both loose and pre-boxed jewellery. As the box was to be gifted the layout was kept simple with one fully open tray and the other divided equally into two compartments. The simplicity of the design was also expressed in the finishing, just the recipients initials in gold on the lid in Coronation, my sans serif movable typeface.
